Skjebnevæven is a solo piano album containing 8 musical portraits painted with love. This is the second classical full-length from multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer and painter Ole Teigen, known from bands like Superlynx, Dødheimsgard, Midnattsvrede, Ole Devil & The Spirit Chasers, Carpathian Forest, Teigen : Munkvold, Voltage Variations – and many more.

“One summer day in 1995, there were suddenly some craftsmen in our living room. I was 14 years old and knew little. Even less than I know today. I had a taste for black books, Satanism and horror films. The craftsmen had come to remove a large window that faced the garden. Like most 14-year-olds, I wasn’t interested in what the adults were doing, and I was probably waiting for them to finish so I could start watching the footage of Nightmare on Elm Street 4 that had been on TV the previous night. There was a cool scene in it, with a song I really liked. In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida.
 
In the movie, one of the young people falls asleep on the sofa in front of the TV set and Freddy Krueger has his power in the realm of dreams. A scene unfolds where the youth is being hunted by Freddy in a computer game, and the music playing is an acid rock classic.
 
Out in the garden a large crane appears, and a huge instrument is carried in through the great hole in the wall where the window used to be. My mom’s new boyfriend is moving in and he's bringing a grand piano with him! During the first weekend I learned to pick that song from the movie, and I immediately started composing my own pieces. The grand piano entered on a Friday, and when mum and Viggo came home on Sunday evening they hear someone playing, wondering who is visiting. Who can play the piano?, they asked.

This was the start of my great love affair in life. I've played every chance I've had. The music has been my safe home in a brutal and unfair world.
